Part #1: Create A Place For Your Unpaid Bills
I used to spread out my bills on my table and though, I thought I laid them neatly before I realized that the table was filled with papers and look like a complete mess. When there is a clutter, there’s more to avoid it and pretty soon, you are also avoiding paying the bills. That is a NO NO! So, let us create a good place for all your bills.
- Granola Bar Box
- Duct Tape
- Sheet of Paper
- Scotch Tape
Step 1: Cut The Box
Take the granola bar box and cut the top flaps.
Step 2: Wrap Box With Duct Tape
Wrap the box with duct tape or any other wrapping paper. If you decide to use a wrapping paper, make sure you have ruler to measure the paper and glue to paste it down. This can be a little tricky but taking your time can turn into a great work.
Step 3: Label The Box
Once you are done wrapping the box, cut two rectangular pieces of paper, one a little thinner than the other and then, get your sharpie and write the word “BILLS” on the pieces of paper, one = on the front and the thinner one’s on the side.
Viola! You have your new box for all your bills! Place the box on your table and each time you get your bill, never forget to put them on your bill organizer. This will help you remind yourself of paying your bills in time.
Part #2: Make A Checklist To Organize Home Bills
Once you’re done paying your bills, sort them in a file folder where you keep all your paid bill and check it off in your planner. Write all the bills that you need to pay every month (write this part down ahead of time), and then, mark a little check each time you pay a bill.
